2. Description of Service
GateRun is a web-based application that uses AI-powered OCR (optical character recognition) technology to scan and digitize documents. The Service allows users to photograph documents, extract structured data, organize task lists, and track completion of items.
3. User Accounts
You may use GateRun without creating an account. However, certain features (such as cross-device subscription sync) require email-based authentication. When creating an account:
- You must provide a valid email address
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must not share your verification codes with others
- You agree to notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Free and Premium Tiers
Free Tier
The free tier provides access to core scanning and route organization features. The free tier includes advertisements served by Google AdSense.
Premium Tier
GateRun Premium is a paid subscription at $5.00 USD per month. Premium includes:
- Ad-free experience
- PDF export
- History and cloud backup
- Cross-device synchronization
- Priority support
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use GateRun only for its intended purpose: scanning documents and organizing task lists. You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the source code
- Upload content that is harmful, offensive, or violates third-party rights
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools to access the Service (bots, scrapers, etc.)
- Share sensitive or confidential information through the Service
6. Image Processing
When you use the scanning feature, images of documents are transmitted to our servers for OCR processing. By using this feature:
- You confirm you have the right to photograph and process the document content
- You understand that images are processed using Google Gemini AI technology
- You acknowledge that OCR results may contain errors and should be reviewed before use
- You agree that processed images are not permanently stored on our servers
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of GateRun is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
8. Intellectual Property
GateRun and all associated content, features, and functionality are owned by GateRun and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our express written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
GateRun is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- OCR results will be 100% accurate
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
- Any defects in the Service will be corrected
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GateRun shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages arising from missed deliveries, incorrect route information, or data loss.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GateRun, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting updated terms on this page. Your continued use of GateRun after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to GateRun at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
